Hugo Heredia is an Illinois Valley resident and business owner. He and his wife, Jennifer, operate IN Visual Technologies and Imagine U Studio.
The Spring Valley studio and gallery are exactly what Hugo envisioned for himself from the time he was eight years old. As a child, time away from his love of art was spent with his pencils stuck in his socks, just in case. His vision began then to do all things art related.
After some time spent away from the Illinois Valley going to school and exploring for a few years, Hugo returned to start his business, IN Visual Technologies. Starting from fine art (all mediums and styles), he expanded his skills, using creativity as a base, to include video production, websites, logo design, brochure, poster, and postcard design and photography.
Hugo's teaching experience has included working through B. E.S.T. with disadvantaged youth, through SRAVTE to offer various workshops, and at IVCC in their graphics arts department as well as various workshops.
Imagine U Studio is the culmination of his experience. He teaches everything he does to kids and adults. For parents, It is an affordable and flexible way for parents to add art back in to their children's lives. For adults, it is a relaxing outlet and time to unwind. He really enjoys seeing the "light bulbs" go on, and seeing what they can do when they are free to express themselves.
A typical day at INVT/Imagine U Studio could include filming on a green screen, editing the footage to produce a commercial, designing a look for a website, and teaching painting to a 7 year old. You may also find one of his 3 kids (ages 11, 9 and 6) cleaning pallets or organizing clay tools.
Living his dream makes for some busy days, but none he would trade for anything. He lives and breathes art and aspires to show his students to do the same.
